Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) Support

Cowboy Gunworks set a 10 year goal of sponsoring $100,000 to the Cowboy Action Shooting sport. We are proud to announce that after 10 years of business (2015), we have exceeded that goal having sponsored over $106,000 to SASS shooting events all across the country!"

Since getting involved with Cowboy Action Shooting in 2005 Jimmy Spurs and Cowboy Gunworks have sponsored and supported Local, State, Regional and National events all over the country, especially in the East. He has supported SASS State Championships in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and more. He has also supported the SASS New England Regional, the SASS Northeast Regional and the SASS Midwest Regional. He was a Stage Sponsor at the 2012 SASS National Championships 'Winter Range' in Phoenix, AZ.

In September 2010 Jimmy loaded up the Stagecoach (Motor Home) and Support Trailer and traveled to Sparta, IL for the US Open and then to Texas for the SASS Southwest Regional and then to the SASS Southeast Regional in South Carolina.

In September 2011 Jimmy, Little Ruby and Cody (the Maine Coon Cat) headed out for a 3 month trip across the country that would eventually cover 40 states. It included shoots like the SASS Michigan State Championships, the SASS US Open in Illinois, the SASS MN State Championships, the SASS Northwest Regional in Washington, The Gunfight Behind the Jersey Lilly in California, the SASS AZ State Championship, the SASS Southwest Regional in Texas and the SASS Southeast Regional in South Carolina.

The Walnut Hill Gang Stage Coach tows a 30 foot work trailer that has its own milling machine, MIG and TIG welders, air compressor and self contained power via a Honda generator. After working Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota Little Ruby needed to fly home so she could get back to school.

Jimmy and Little Ruby would like to thank all those people that have shown us support and given us a chance to supply the Cowboy Action Shooting community with the finest firearms we can build over the last 8 years.

Here are some photos of that trip:
